About Gary

Gary entered active duty with the United States Navy immediately after high school and served during the Vietnam War.

Upon completion of his military service, Gary returned to St. Louis where he attended college while working as a police officer for the St. Louis Police Department.

After graduating from Maryville University, Gary fulfilled a life long dream by taking the oath of office to become a Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, where he served as an investigator and a Supervisory Special Agent. Gary has received numerous citations and awards, which included recognition for his involvement in the successful recovery of a one-year old baby kidnapped from his residence. Gary was named Investigator of the Year in 1999 by the Federal Law Enforcement Officer’s Association following the successful dismantlement of a domestic terrorist group conspiring to assassinate the President and overthrow the government.

During his law enforcement career, Gary was an instructor of law enforcement at East Central College in Union, MO, then was an FBI instructor specializing in Hostage Negotiation, Interview & Interrogation, and Officer Survival.

Since his retirement from the FBI, Gary serves as the Director of Security for a family owned Hotel Company with locations in 20 states.

Gary and Denise, his wife of over 29 years, are parishioners of Mary Mother of the Church, have 4 grown children and six wonderful grandchildren.

Gary served on the Board of Directors for his Homeowners Association for 3 years including a term as President.
